Payment terms
In order to book DJ80 disco you will be required to pay the full cost in advance. After a short phonecall to confirm your exact requirements, and whether DJ80 can meet them, you will be emailed a booking form. You'll then need to reply by email to accept the booking terms, and make full payment for your event within 48 hours. Once paid, an email confirmation receipt will be sent to you.
This may differ from other providers, but more and more services within the entertainment sector are taking this approach.
Why?
After the last few years with covid lockdowns, and especially the Christmas period with Omicron, busy dates were booked well in advance to secure them for parties. Because DJ80 is not a multi-op business, this meant all other booking enquiries for those dates were declined. Unfortunately, despite there being no official lockdown, many of those bookings were cancelled at the very last minute. This had a catastrophic impact to entertainment businesses all over the UK.

Thirdly, as with any business that differentiates itself from a hobbyist, there are also unseen overheads. Liability insurance, electrical testing, DBS checks, websites, marketing, administration, music purchasing, uniform and many other day to day costs.
And lastly, there's business profit. On top of covering all the costs, a business can only be successful if it makes a profit. Whereas you might get quoted a smaller fee for a 'mate' cash in hand 'DJ', they most certainly won't have everything mentioned above.
